Lance Ennen is a software entrepreneur with a passion for startups and new technologies. He's a leader with experience building startups, building software development teams, and is a software craftsman. Lance has been writing code since sophomore year of High School. He's worked with great companies like Clear Channel, Midway Games, Obtiva (acquired by Groupon), CouponTrade (now Raise), RECSOLU (now Yello), Big Astronaut (acquired by Factor 75), Douglas Elliman, LexisNexis, Sears, Leapfrog Online, GE Capital, Camping World and Payroc. Lance has years of experience in computer science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, algorithms, data mining, ecommerce, pci compliance (credit card security). He's built an ISO provider call Payroc. He's also worked with Stripe and Braintree API to easily on-board ISO's and their websites. Currently, Lance is helping clients around the world under ByEnnen his application development company.

We use React and React-Native for developing our Mobile + Web Applications on top of Node. Over the last year we’ve been building API’s with GraphQL.

Big Astronaut is part development studio, part product development team, part innovation think tank, and 100 percent committed to helping businesses grow.

Big Astronaut's team was acquired by Factor 75 in 2014.

Software Consultant, Obtiva

May 2009 - September 2011

Managed projects for Sears Holdings Corporation, building out and in Ruby on Rails. Created Sears Facebook Registry App. Led the Sears Wordpress team, set up servers, and managed deployments.

Built out, scaled and refactored Leapfrog Online Django Landing Page platform. Helped build Ruby on Rails landing page platform. Planned and carried out daily scrums, weekly estimations and retrospectives, and pair programming.

Designed and built the website in Ruby on Rails. Obtiva, one of Chicago’s largest software consultancies with 60 full-time employees, was acquired by Groupon in 2011.

Provided support for four ASP.NET applications while guiding a rewrite in Ruby on Rails. Increased overall satisfaction with internal technology services including response/resolution time for end user support requests and performance of company-facing applications. Worked on the development of ReachMD CME iPhone App, featured in "What's Hot" on iTunes.
